Glove conditioning and deep cleaning
Dried-out leather loses its feel, cracks, and shortens the life of your glove. Professional conditioning restores suppleness and protects the leather for seasons to come.
What our conditioning service includes
We start by removing dirt, sweat, and buildup from the leather surface. Years of use leave grime in the pores of the leather that blocks conditioner from penetrating - cleaning first is essential.
After cleaning, we apply professional-grade leather conditioner in controlled amounts. Too much conditioner makes a glove heavy and floppy. Too little does nothing. We know the right amount for each leather type - and yes, different brands use different leather that absorbs differently.
The result is leather that is supple, protected, and game-ready without being oversaturated. We can also address minor surface drying and cracking as part of the conditioning process.

When does your glove need conditioning?
Leather feels stiff or dry
When you flex the glove and the leather resists or feels rough, it needs moisture.
Visible cracking on the surface
Small cracks mean the leather is dehydrating. Conditioning now prevents larger, irreparable damage.
End of season storage
Always condition before storing your glove for the off-season. Dry winter air accelerates leather damage.
After heavy rain or sweat exposure
Water strips natural oils from leather. If your glove got soaked, condition it after it dries.
Color fading or dull appearance
Healthy leather has a slight sheen. Dull, faded leather is dehydrated leather.
New glove break-in
Light conditioning helps a new glove break in faster without damaging the leather.
Conditioning vs leather restoration
Conditioning is preventive maintenance - cleaning and moisturizing leather that is still structurally sound. If your glove has deep cracks, torn leather, or structural damage, it needs leather repair and restoration, which is a more involved process.
